50th Psi Pi Chapter
Achievement Week Observance
Psi Pi Chapter Achievement Week observance is November 17 – 22, 2024. It’s designed to recognize those individuals at the local and international levels who have contributed to community uplift. A High School Essay Contest is to be held in conjunction with Achievement Week.
Since November 12, 1975, Psi Pi Chapter – Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. has helped to encourage and support Clarksville’s graduating seniors in pursuing higher education as one of our initiatives. Through an annual essay contest and E. Hyburnia Williams Scholarship Fund, we have provided a yearly funding of $1,500 in scholarships. Some of our students have pursued degrees at Alabama A&M & Austin Peay State University to name a few.
International High School Essay Contest

2025 TITLE: “In a World Powered by Artificial Intelligence, What Does it Mean to Lead with Integrity and Purpose?”
ELIGIBILITY & RULES
The Contest is open to all college-bound, high school seniors who submit an essay application
through a Chapter of the Fraternity.
The essay must be original and neither previously published nor secured by copyright. The essay
must be between 700 and 750 words in length. The type-written, double-spaced essay may be submitted via postal service or email in Microsoft Word.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
All submissions will be reviewed by your local Chapter (determined by your high school/home
address).
Submission must be postmarked no later than October 21, 2024 to P.O. Box 2903 Clarksville, TN 37042. Do not change or shorten
the Essay Topic.
RATING CRITERIA
All local Chapters will assemble a review panel to assess submitted essays based on the following
criteria. Essays may earn a maximum rating of 100 points:
1. Development of Topic/Thesis: (30 possible points)
2. Progression: (20 possible points)
3. Readability: (25 possible points)
4. Grammar: (15 possible points)
5. Spelling: (5 possible points)
6. Punctuation: (5 possible points)
